Esta mañana la MTV ha estrenado en primicia mundial el nuevo videoclip de Vampire Weekend.
Obviamente, es el del tercer single de Contra, el inesperado Holiday que ya vimos en directo el otro día en el Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
Sabes que cuando te dispones a ver un videoclip de Ezra Koenig y compañía cualquier cosa te puedes esperar.
Para esta ocasión han decidido hacernos una especie de ruta turística por el sur de California y enseñarnos imágenes típicas.
Playa, fiesta, chicas guapas, descapotables… La cosa se quedaría en bastante típico si no fuese porque van vestidos a la moda del siglo XVIII en Europa.
Los podemos ver con pelucones, casacas y con los labios pintados montando en monopatín o jugando al golf.
A pesar del contraste, tampoco no tiene mucho más, en mi opinión se queda muy atrás en comparación al surrealismo magistral de Giving Up the Gun.
