Halfway Gone es lo primero que conocemos de Smoke And Mirrors, el que será su quinto álbum que verá la luz el 2 de febrero del 2010.
Desde su debut en 2000 con aquel temazo Hanging By A Moment han publicado cuatro discos y cada cual mejor.
Si me dejo guiar por Broken, aquel tema de la banda sonora de The Time Traveler’s Wife, o este Halfway Gone, parece que los chicos de Malibú progresan adecuadamente.
Para Smoke And Mirrors han contado con colaboraciones interesantes como las de Kevin Rudolf o el ex American Idol Chris Daughtry.
Este primer single viene con un videoclip firmado por Frank Borin que anteriormente ha dirigido para Good Charlotte, Red Hot Chili Pepers, Natalie Imbruglia o Eminem.
Para este Halfway Gone ha jugado con el efecto Donetes, aparición de la nada de un montón de peña, localizado en un parque con lago donde el mérito recae en el montaje del videoclip.
Vídeo interesante para un buen primer single.
