El próximo 7 de septiembre saldrá a la venta Tru Thoughts Covers, un álbum recopilatorio de versiones de temas conocidos por artistas de esta discográfica británica.
Artistas como Nostalgia 77, Hot 8 Brass Band, Lizzy Parks o The Bamboos versionan a artistas tan dispares como Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, The Strokes o Eminem.
Sin duda el fenómeno de las covers se ha convertido en la mejor manera de promoción de un artista desconocido, ya sea en versiones en acústico en radios, televisiones o desde el salón de casa con una webcam.
Los chicos de Tru Thoughts lo saben bien y han recopilado covers que sus artistas han ido realizando en clave de hard funk, soul y jazz durante los últimos 10 años.
Para que os hagáis una idea os mostramos la versión del Seven Nation Army de White Stripes por Nostalgia 77 con la increíble voz de Alice Russell, auténtica diva del retro-soul aunque a las Winehouse de turno les pese.
